Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Elevating Word Church is our mission to the local community and the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation.
Elevating Word Church is thrilled to be part of the spreading of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in local monthly outreach projects and we encourage all of our members to respond to God’s call for laborers.
In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Elevating Word Church holds a mid-week Bible Study. This special time gives our youth more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly Youth Ministry volunteers have an endless stream of creativity ranging from movies, to games, to object lessons.
Dance & Drama
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church youth get involved in our Dance and Drama ministry. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Elevating Word Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Elevating Word Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are recorded in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook feed for additional church communication.
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Elevating Word Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, before the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministering of the Word. Throughout the week, our Prayer team, prays for the pastor, the church members, any special requests, and other prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.
Greeters & Ushers
The greeter and usher teams at Elevating Word Church fills an important role. They are involved in welcoming guests and members, directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The greeter and usher teams are servant-hearted groups of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Baptism is one of the outward symbols of one’s deep commitment to live life the way Jesus wants us to. Baptism is simply a symbol that Jesus desires His followers to participate in. It serves as an outward reminder of what He has done in our lives.
